Commander Calis is the commander of the 58th Zero Gravity Combat Corps, the space troopers. He made his name destroying a flagship singlehanded, literally he alone, boarded the bridge and destroyed it. Calis is a skilled tactician, specializing in ship boarding and raids. He is talented fighter pilot

Calis is fun loving, his outgoing and optimistic, makes him see things in a brighter way than others. His intense personality makes him somewhat abrasive, and can get on some people’s nerves.

Dauntless, and daring, he leads his men to attack battleships, head on to attack of board enemy ships, and fight on battlefields with no gravity.

Fierce and smart, he has his men go through a rigorous training course, so they are the best at what they do.

Calis is rather frank about things, he tells it like it is. Rowdy and somewhat irritating, it leads some to believe that he is undisciplined, but he is no-nonsense when in the heat of battle.

Calis shares a trait with Sab; they both love a good argument, and will spend hours arguing about some of the most pointless things.

Calis spends his free time flying his personal starfighter, and listening to very loud music. The level of the noise was such that Jack had Calis’ quarters soundproofed.

He also enjoys rockets, building them for fun and launching them in the mess hall, docks, and corridors, (not explosive obviously).
